"It is a great privilege to write this endorsement for my dear friend and colleague, Silvia Farag.
I have had the opportunity to know Silvia not only through her professional work as a therapist, but also personally, as a friend and as someone who shares a deep concern for the well-being of individuals, couples, families, and our communities. Over the years, I have witnessed firsthand the compassion, empathy, wisdom, and genuine care that she brings to those she serves.
Silvia has also been a valued presence in our parish community. She has spoken at multiple of our Mental Health Awareness events and was a featured speaker at our flagship Beacon of Faith Conference in the heart of Manhattan- twice. In each of these settings, she has demonstrated a remarkable ability to address difficult and often sensitive subjects with honesty, understanding, and compassion.
What I especially appreciate about Silvia's approach is her recognition that true well-being encompasses the whole person. Emotional and mental health, relationships, family, community, and faith are not isolated parts of our lives. They are deeply interconnected. Silvia has a particular gift for helping people recognize these connections while meeting them with empathy rather than judgment.
Through her work with individuals and couples, Silvia has helped many people navigate difficult seasons, strengthen relationships, understand themselves more deeply, and move toward greater health and wholeness. Her work reflects a sincere belief in the dignity of every person and in the possibility of healing, growth, reconciliation, and renewed hope.
Her faith is also an important part of who Silvia is and of the compassion she brings to her work. She understands that for many people, faith is not separate from their emotional and relational lives; it is an essential source of meaning, hope, strength, and resilience. Her ability to appreciate both the psychological and spiritual dimensions of a person's journey gives her perspective a unique depth.
I believe this book is a natural extension of what Silvia has already been doing for years: helping people feel seen, understood, and encouraged as they work toward healthier and more fulfilling lives. Her professional experience, combined with her personal warmth, faith, and deep commitment to people and families, gives her a voice that deserves to be heard.
I am grateful to call Silvia not only a trusted colleague, but also a friend. I am honored to endorse this work and sincerely hope that her words will reach many people who need the wisdom, compassion, and hope she so generously offers."
